Dooner Jr., falleci\u00f3 el pasado 31 de diciembre a los 77 a\u00f1os.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nacido en 1948 en New Rochelle (Nueva York), Dooner inici\u00f3 su carrera en Grey Advertising en 1970. En 1984 se incorpor\u00f3 a McCann, donde desarroll\u00f3 la mayor parte de su trayectoria profesional. En esa etapa trabaj\u00f3 con cuentas como Coca-Cola y Gillette hasta 1992, a\u00f1o en el que fue nombrado presidente y CEO de McCann Erickson, cargo que ocup\u00f3 hasta 2000.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En 1997, Dooner impuls\u00f3 la formalizaci\u00f3n de McCann Worldgroup como red global que agrupaba agencias y unidades como McCann, MRM, Momentum, McCann Health y Craft, con el objetivo de integrar capacidades de marketing bajo un mismo paraguas en un contexto de transformaci\u00f3n digital. El nombre McCann Worldgroup dej\u00f3 de utilizarse tras la adquisici\u00f3n de IPG por parte de Omnicom, anunciada en noviembre.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entre 2000 y 2003, Dooner asumi\u00f3 el cargo de presidente y CEO de la matriz de McCann, Interpublic Group (IPG). Durante ese periodo, lider\u00f3 la adquisici\u00f3n de True North, operaci\u00f3n que incorpor\u00f3 a la red agencias como FCB y Deutsch. Posteriormente regres\u00f3 a McCann Worldgroup como presidente, responsabilidad que mantuvo entre 2003 y 2011, antes de pasar a la posici\u00f3n de presidente em\u00e9rito.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">M\u00e1s all\u00e1 de su actividad en agencia, Dooner particip\u00f3 en iniciativas sectoriales como presidente del Ad Council, vicepresidente de la 4A\u2019s y colabor\u00f3 con la AEF para apoyar la educaci\u00f3n publicitaria.
