A partir de 1997, este licenciado en Dise\u00f1o de Autom\u00f3viles del Royal College of Art, desarroll\u00f3 su carrera profesional en el Design Center Europe del Grupo Volkswagen en Espa\u00f1a, puesto en el que se responsabiliz\u00f3 del \u00e1rea de dise\u00f1o xxterior de diversos proyectos para las marcas Seat , Volkswagen y Audi. En 2001, Mesonero-Romanos ingres\u00f3 en Renault para dirigir varios proyectos de dise\u00f1o y, desde 2007, lider\u00f3 el \u00e1rea de dise\u00f1o avanzado.
