Procter and Gamble (P&G)<\/strong><\/a>, fabricante de productos de consumo, colabora con Reforest’Action<\/strong> con el objetivo de recuperar los ecosistemas forestales afectados por los incendios y as\u00ed revitalizar la biodiversidad loca, fomentar el desarrollo del mundo rural y frenar la desertificaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

La compa\u00f1\u00eda ha anunciado que contribuir\u00e1 a la regeneraci\u00f3n de cerca de\u00a0100.000 m2 de bosque de Castilla y Le\u00f3n<\/strong> con la plantaci\u00f3n de 10.000 \u00e1rboles aut\u00f3ctonos<\/strong>. Se ha desarrollado una campa\u00f1a donde por cada cesta de productos P&G comprada por sus consumidores, la empresa ha apoyado la reforestaci\u00f3n de 1 m2 de bosque.<\/p>\n

Recuperar un ecosistema diverso<\/h3>\n

Entre los a\u00f1os 2005 y 2016, varias provincias de\u00a0Castilla y Le\u00f3n<\/strong> sufrieron una serie de incendios forestales que afectaron a cerca de 250 hect\u00e1reas. Esto provoc\u00f3 una p\u00e9rdida de biodiversidad y recursos naturales de gran riqueza. Ahora, gracias a este proyecto conjunto con\u00a0Reforest’Action\u00a0<\/strong>y\u00a0Sylva Nova<\/strong>, firma especializada en gesti\u00f3n de bosques, la compa\u00f1\u00eda contribuir\u00e1 a recuperar un ecosistema diverso con la plantaci\u00f3n de especies aut\u00f3ctonas como: casta\u00f1o, roble, aliso o pino negro, de manera que la propia composici\u00f3n del bosque dificulte la propagaci\u00f3n de incendios.<\/p>\n

P&G<\/strong> colaborar\u00e1 con la repoblaci\u00f3n de \u00e1reas cercanas a los municipios de\u00a0Gradefes (Le\u00f3n), Medina de Rioseco (Valladolid), Ibeas de Juarros, San Adri\u00e1n de Juarros y Villafranca Montes de Oca (Burgos) y Ser\u00f3n de N\u00e1gima y Utrilla (Soria)<\/strong>.\u00a0Seg\u00fan los responsables del proyecto, estos\u00a010.000 \u00e1rboles plantados<\/strong> tendr\u00e1n la capacidad de almacenar\u00a01.500 toneladas de CO2.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s, los bosques de estas regiones son h\u00e1bitat natural de mam\u00edferos de especial vulnerabilidad, como el lobo ib\u00e9rico o el oso pardo. El \u00e1rea forestal repoblada podr\u00e1 albergar unos\u00a030.000 refugios de animales de distintas especies<\/strong>. La iniciativa tambi\u00e9n ayudar\u00e1 a impulsar el desarrollo econ\u00f3mico en el entorno rural y hacer del bosque un agente dinamizador para la actividad econ\u00f3mica de la zona, y se estima que se han generado 1.429 d\u00edas de trabajo en el \u00e1rea.<\/p>\n
