El periodista Fernando Garea.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

La nueva cabecera se publicar\u00e1 en el \u00faltimo trimestre de este a\u00f1o<\/strong>.\u00a0 Prensa Ib\u00e9rica ya edita 24 peri\u00f3dicos impresos y digitales<\/a> en 11 comunidades aut\u00f3nomas y diversas revistas. Entre ellos, destacan El Peri\u00f3dico, La Nueva Espa\u00f1a, Faro de Vigo, Informaci\u00f3n, La Provincia, El D\u00eda<\/em> y Diario de Mallorca<\/em>, entre otros.<\/p>\n

Licenciado en periodismo por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Fernando Garea<\/strong> comenz\u00f3 a trabajar en Diario 16<\/em> y form\u00f3 parte, posteriormente, de los equipos fundacionales de El Mundo<\/em> y P\u00fablico<\/em>. De 2008 a 2017 fue corresponsal parlamentario para el diario El Pa\u00eds<\/em> y en julio de 2018 fue nombrado presidente de la Agencia Efe, tras un breve paso por El Confidencial<\/em> como adjunto al director.<\/p>\n

Garea, que fue cesado por el gobierno al frente de EFE\u00a0 en febrero de 2020, remarc\u00f3 en su carta de despedida a los trabajadores que \u00abuna agencia p\u00fablica de noticias no es una agencia del Gobierno\u00bb<\/p>\n

Prensa Ib\u00e9rica<\/strong><\/p>\n

Con dos millones de lectores en papel (EGM) y m\u00e1s de 230.000 ejemplares diarios (OJD), Prensa Ib\u00e9rica<\/a> es l\u00edder en audiencia y difusi\u00f3n en diversas autonom\u00edas y cuenta con un creciente posicionamiento en soporte digital.
