{"id":126459,"date":"2021-05-13T11:45:07","date_gmt":"2021-05-13T09:45:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ipmark.com\/?p=126459"},"modified":"2021-05-13T12:36:44","modified_gmt":"2021-05-13T10:36:44","slug":"qualcomm-lenovo-y-samsung-confirman-asistencia-virtual-mwc-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ipmark.com\/?p=126459","title":{"rendered":"Qualcomm, Lenovo y Samsung confirman su asistencia virtual al MWC 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>A algo menos de dos meses de que se celebre la pr\u00f3xima edici\u00f3n del Mobile World Congress, Qualcomm, Lenovo y Samsung se suman a la lista de compa\u00f1\u00edas que han comunicado su intenci\u00f3n de no acudir finalmente a Barcelona entre el 28 de junio y el 1 de julio.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cSi bien apreciamos las medidas de salud y seguridad que est\u00e1 implementando la GSMA para el MWC Barcelona, hemos decidido que es lo mejor para nuestros empleados y clientes que la participaci\u00f3n de Qualcomm sea virtual este a\u00f1o\u201d, ha informado la firma estadounidense en un comunicado.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En la misma l\u00ednea se han situado <strong>Lenovo y Samsung, que renuncian a colocar un stand f\u00edsico en Fira de Barcelona, para prestar su apoyo de manera remota.<\/strong> Tales compa\u00f1\u00edas se suman a la lista de empresas que, desde que GSMA informara de la fecha definitiva del congreso, decidieran anunciar su no asistencia: <strong>Ericsson, Nokia, Oracle, Sony, British Telecom, Cisco, Facebook, Google, KT y SK Telecom.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Estas cancelaciones llegan pocos d\u00edas despu\u00e9s de que los organizadores de MWC 2021 confirmaran la asistencia de m\u00e1s de 600 ponentes de sectores como el de la telefon\u00eda m\u00f3vil, la nube sanitaria o las finanzas.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El pasado mes de abril, <strong>John Hoffman<\/strong>, consejero delegado de <strong>GSMA<\/strong>, cifr\u00f3 en<strong> entre 100 y 200 millones de euros el impacto que dejar\u00e1 este a\u00f1o el congreso de telecomunicaciones, un 20% menos que el que suele ser habitual en esta cita<\/strong>. Y aunque asegur\u00f3 que era dif\u00edcil predecir la participaci\u00f3n f\u00edsica que puede haber este a\u00f1o, entre los cuatro d\u00edas que dura el evento, se espera que acudan a este cerca de 50.000 personas, menos de la mitad de los participantes de las \u00faltimas ediciones.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Hoteles y apartamentos prev\u00e9n menos asistentes<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Una cifra que no coincide con el dato que manejan desde el sector Hotelero de Barcelona, que en el mejor de los casos, esperan 10.000 asistentes, siendo una mayor\u00eda p\u00fablico local. Menos de una d\u00e9cima parte del r\u00e9cord de audiencia obtenido en 2019, cuando se alcanz\u00f3 los 109.000 participantes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los datos m\u00e1s recientes del Gremio de Hoteles exponen <strong>un 33,5% de establecimientos abiertos en la Ciudad Condal<\/strong>. Actualmente, los precios de las habitaciones son hasta un 60% inferiores a los que hab\u00eda por estas mismas fechas antes de la pandemia de coronavirus. En los d\u00edas que se celebra el MWC 2021, la patronal local espera tarifas de temporada media.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Desde la Asociaci\u00f3n de Apartamentos Tur\u00edsticos de Barcelona (APARTUR), pronostican precios similares para este tipo de alojamiento. A d\u00eda de hoy, no han recibido peticiones de reserva para las fechas en las que se celebra el congreso, pero auguran que llegar\u00e1n a \u00faltima hora y a un volumen reducido.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En cualquier caso, los organizadores de la edici\u00f3n 2021 del MWC esperan atraer a los asistentes gracias a la puesta en marcha de<strong> medidas que garanticen la seguridad<\/strong> &#8211; entre ellas, la obligaci\u00f3n de presentar una PCR negativa cada 72 horas y llevar mascarilla FFP2-. Y una agenda en la que predominan las ponencias presenciales frente a las virtuales (<strong>100 presenciales vs. 42 entre h\u00edbridas y virtuales)<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La GSMA calcula cerca de 50.000 asistentes, mientras que la cifra del sector hotelero apenas supera los 10.000,
